Cucurbita maxima, the winter squash or pumpkin, appears in folk pharmacopeias of South‑Asia, the Andes, and Mesoamerica. In the Tamang villages of Nepal, dried leaves are steeped in hot water for a mild diuretic tea (Sharma & Bhatta, 2015).
