Chlorophytum borivilianum is a herb native to tropical wet forests in peninsular India. Commonly known as safed musli or musli, it is eaten as a leaf vegetable in some parts of India and its roots are used as a health tonic. In traditional Indian medicine, it is used as an adaptogen and is part of the vajikaran rasayana group in Ayurveda. It is considered a white gold in Indian systems of medicine.
