Common products:
The seeds yield a non-drying oil (reported seed oil content around 60% in some studies) used as cooking oil and as a biodiesel feedstock; the de-oiled seed cake (≈36% crude protein) is used as livestock feed. The wood is used as general-purpose lumber, furniture stock, and pulpwood for kraft/paper; bark may be used for tanning.

Industrial and craft applications:
Seed oil is processed to fatty acid methyl esters for biodiesel; it also serves as a non-drying oil in soapmaking and as a surface-coating oil. Wood is employed for lumber in furniture and construction, as veneers/plywood, and for paper pulp (kraft/sulphate pulping). Bark-derived tannins can be used in leather tanning.

Food and beverages (non-medicinal):
Edible seed oil for culinary use; oil may be hydrogenated to a white fat for shortening/margarine; roasted seeds are sometimes used as a snack or nut substitute; de-fatted seed meal is a protein-rich feed ingredient.

Wood and fiber:
Sapwood is light-colored, heartwood reddish to yellowish-brown; low to moderate density, straight grain, medium workability—suitable for indoor/outdoor carpentry and millwork; fiber is used in kraft/paper production.

Seed oil is low-iodine, non-drying, composed predominantly of saturated/monounsaturated fatty acids (e.g., palmitic, stearic, oleic), giving stability for edible oil and biodiesel feedstocks; the de-oiled meal’s relatively high protein content supports feed uses.
