It is a perennial plant that grows in wet habitats such as marshes, swamps, and wet meadows. It is a clump-forming species that can reach heights of up to 1.5 meters. The leaves are linear and up to 30 cm long. The inflorescence is a dense, cylindrical spike of up to 10 cm long, containing numerous small, yellowish-brown flowers.

Cyperus conglomeratus is a species of sedge native to northern Africa, the Middle East, and parts of western Asia. It was first formally described by the botanist Christen Friis Rottbøll in 1773. It is a perennial plant that grows in wet habitats such as marshes, swamps, and wet meadows, reaching heights of up to 1.5 meters. Its leaves are linear and up to 30 cm long, and its inflorescence is a dense, cylindrical spike of up to 10 cm long, containing numerous small, yellowish-brown flowers.
