Stephania pierrei is a caudiciform vine native to the Indo-Chinese Peninsula, typically described as Stephania erecta. It is cultivated as a houseplant for its unique woody caudiciform and intricate mosaic veining. It sprouts long vines with small circular leaves and yellow flowers in spring, followed by its foliage. It is listed as a vulnerable species in Vietnam, where its root or caudex is used medicinally.
