Common products:
The fruit is collected from wild and remnant trees and sold locally as a fresh fruit and processed into jams, jellies, or preserves. Processed products are typically sweetened and may be stabilized with pectin.

Food and beverages (non-medicinal):
Fruits are eaten fresh or cooked; pulp is used in sweet or savory preparations such as pastries, fillings, or fruit compotes. Seeds may be roasted or incorporated into culinary applications where their texture is utilized.

Wood and fiber:
The species is not a major timber species but occasionally used for light carpentry and general woodwork. It is also valued locally for firewood and charcoal.

Fragrance and cosmetics:
Fruit pulp and peel contain aromatic compounds; extracts are used as natural flavor and fragrance materials in processed foods and in some cosmetic or personal-care applications as aroma ingredients.

Properties relevant to use:
Fruit sugars contribute to sweet flavor in fresh and processed forms. Seed oil content is low to moderate with a typical fatty-acid profile of the family; minor resinous or latex components may affect flavor. Wood is relatively light and easy to machine. Pulp and peel are a source of aroma volatiles.

Sustainability and sourcing:
Fruits are harvested from wild and village trees; collection is often opportunistic rather than from cultivated stands. In some regions mature stands have been lost to land-use change. Community-based or smallholder cultivation and fruit harvesting could improve continuity of supply while supporting biodiversity-friendly land use.
