Agave utahensis, also known as Utah agave, is a species of agave found in the desert southwest region of the United States. It has varieties such as the Nevada agave and Kaibab agave. While it is considered uncommon, it is stable and not a cause for concern according to the IUCN. This plant has blue-green leaves with sharp spikes and can grow up to 4 meters tall. Its flowers are typically yellow or yellow-green and produce black seeds. Agave utahensis is often grown as an ornamental plant and has even won an award from the Royal Horticultural Society in the UK. It has also been used for food and fiber by Native American groups such as the Havasupai and the Navajo, who use it to make blankets.
