Nicotiana glauca, also known as tree tobacco, is a species of flowering plant in the tobacco genus Nicotiana. It is a small tree or shrub with yellow tubular flowers and thick, rubbery leaves. Native to South America, it has become an introduced species in many parts of the world, including the United States where it is a common roadside weed and an invasive plant in California. It can pose a threat to native species and is classified as an invasive species. The plant is used for medicinal purposes and has been investigated for use as a biofuel. However, it is important to note that all parts of the plant are poisonous to humans and livestock.
