Phedimus selskanianus is cultivated and sold as an ornamental succulent. It is used in rock gardens, as a groundcover in low‑water landscapes, in container displays, and in xeriscaping. Its low, spreading habit makes it suitable for erosion control on slopes and for green‑roof systems that require shallow substrate. The plant produces compact rosettes and small, star‑shaped flowers that appear in summer, adding aesthetic value. Propagation is primarily by vegetative stem or leaf cuttings, enabling rapid nursery production. Because of its tolerance to drought and minimal maintenance requirements, it appears in many horticultural catalogs and succulent collections.
