Phyla nodiflora, also known as frog fruit, sawtooth fogfruit, or turkey tangle, is a flowering plant in the Verbenaceae family. It is native to northern South America and southern United States, but can also be found in tropical regions around the world. This plant is often used as an ornamental ground cover and can be found in yards or disturbed areas as a lawn weed. Its inflorescence features a purple center surrounded by small white-to-pink flowers, giving it a match-like appearance. It is similar to another species, Phyla lanceolata, but has shorter and more rounded leaves. In India, it is known by various names and is used medicinally to treat various ailments. This plant has several synonyms and variations, including Lippia canescens, Lippia incasiomalo, and Lippia lickiflora.
