The germination rate of the seeds is 75%. The seeds are gummed together with a clear soluble gum, making them unsuitable for seed drills, but they can be broadcast. The seeds are viable for about 3 years. The seedlings have a high mortality rate, but with care they can be grown into trees. The tree can also be propagated by cuttings, which can be rooted in water or planted directly into the soil.
Summary:
Vachellia nilotica, also known as Acacia nilotica, is a flowering tree in the Fabaceae family. It is native to Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent, but has become an invasive species in Australia and a noxious weed in the United States. It was originally classified as Acacia, but has since been moved to the genus Vachellia. The tree has thorns and bipinnate leaves with yellow flowers and hairy, constricted pods. It is used for forage and fodder, as a toothbrush, and for its gum arabic, which has been used for medicinal and commercial purposes. The wood of the tree is also used for various purposes. The Maasai people use the inner bark and fruit pulp for food and medicine. The tree
