Ratibida columnifera, also known as upright prairie coneflower, Mexican hat, and longhead prairie coneflower, is a perennial flowering plant found in North America. It can be found in prairies, plains, roadsides, and disturbed areas from southern Canada to northern Mexico. The plant has hairy stems and leaves with 5 to 11 lobes. Its inflorescence consists of drooping, yellow or brownish red ray florets surrounding a central column of purplish disk florets. It blooms from June to September. R. columnifera is similar to R. tagetes, but the leaves are located farther below the flower. It is native to various regions in the United States and Canada, as well as northern Mexico. The plant is used by the Zuni and Navajo people for medicinal purposes.
