Eucalyptus brassiana, also known as Cape York gum, is a tree native to northern Queensland and Papua New Guinea. It can reach heights of up to 20 meters and has rough, dark bark on the trunk and smooth grey bark on the branches. The leaves are lance-shaped and glossy green, and the tree produces white flowers and small woody fruit. This species was first described in 1977 and is named after botanist Leonard John Brass. It is found in woodland and open forest habitats in the Cape York Peninsula and parts of Papua New Guinea.
