The wood is utilized as a medium-density timber for light construction, joinery, and interior carpentry in central and West Africa. It is also employed for small craft items, tool handles, and furniture components. The wood’s mechanical properties—comparable to that of Zanthoxylum heitzii and other Zanthoxylum timbers—support its use in structural elements subjected to moderate loads and in general joinery. No reliable sources report fiber or bast-fiber extraction from this species.
Fragrance and cosmetics:
No reliable references document the use of extracts, essential oils, or other fractions of this species in perfumes, cosmetics, or personal-care products.
Properties relevant to use:
Published descriptions characterize the wood as moderately hard and fairly durable, properties that enable its use in interior construction and joinery.
