Philotheca brucei is a species of flowering plant that is native to Western Australia and belongs to the Rutaceae family. It is a shrub with cylindrical leaves and produces white to pink or mauve flowers in the spring. The plant can grow up to 2 meters tall and has erect branchlets. It was first described in 1869 by Ferdinand von Mueller and was named after John Bruce, a former acting governor of Western Australia. In 1970, three subspecies were identified and in 1990, the plant was transferred to the genus Philotheca. The three subspecies are found in different regions of Western Australia and are not considered threatened by the government.
