Berberis fendleri, also known as Colorado barberry, is a shrub found in canyons and mountain slopes in the western United States. It can grow up to 2 meters tall and has simple deciduous leaves that can reach up to 4.6 cm in length. The shrub produces racemes of up to 15 flowers, which then develop into red, juicy, oblong fruits that are about 8 mm long. This plant is commonly found in Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.
