Forsythia ovata, also known as Korean forsythia or early forsythia, is a flowering plant in the Oleaceae family native to the Korean Peninsula. It is known for its early blooming and ability to resist deer, making it a popular choice for gardens. It is also hardy in extreme temperatures, able to survive in USDA Hardiness zone 2a with temperatures as low as -50°F (-46°C).
