Food and beverages (non-medicinal):
Young leaves are consumed as a leaf vegetable. Reports also describe roasted leaves being processed into a caffeine-free beverage used as a coffee substitute; preparation is via roasting, grinding, and infusion. No other non-medicinal culinary or commercial applications are documented for this taxon.
