Lupinus arboreus, commonly known as the yellow bush lupine or tree lupin, is an evergreen shrub native to California, US. It grows up to 2 meters (7 feet) tall and has green to gray-green palmate leaves with 5-12 leaflets per leaf. In spring it bears many racemes of fragrant, soft yellow, pea-like flowers. It has escaped from cultivation to become an invasive species in many areas, and is an introduced species in western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Turkish Anatolian Aegean Region, and southern South America. It is widely grown as an ornamental plant and has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Other related shrub species include Lupinus chamissonis, Lupinus albifrons, Lupinus excubitus, and Lupinus longifolius.
