Persicaria capitata, also known as the pink-headed persicaria, is a plant species native to Asia and commonly grown as an ornamental plant in other countries. It has become naturalized in Australia, South Africa, and a few locations in the United States. This prostrate herb has leaves with pink to red bands or blotches and a distinct urine-like odor. It is often used in traditional Chinese medicine for treating urologic disorders. However, it has also been recorded as an invasive plant in Ireland.
