Selaginella kraussiana is a species of vascular plant in the family Selaginellaceae. It is native to parts of Sub-Saharan Africa and Macaronesia, and is sometimes referred to as Krauss' spikemoss, Krauss's clubmoss, or African clubmoss. It is a low-growing, mat-forming evergreen perennial with primitive fern-like leaves, and has been introduced to Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia, where it is considered an invasive species. It is cultivated for ornamental purposes, and requires a minimum temperature of 5°C (41°F). It has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit, and cultivars include ‘Aurea’, ‘Brownii’, and ‘Gold Tips’.
