Saxifraga rosacea, also known as Irish saxifrage, is a herbaceous plant that belongs to the Saxifragaceae family. It has a spreading growth habit, forming a dense cushion of short leafy shoots. The plant produces flowering stems up to 25cm tall, with 4-5 white flowers that have petals measuring 6-10mm in length. It is primarily found in the western regions of the British Isles and in Iceland, but it was declared extinct in England in 1960. This plant is typically found near mountain streams, but it can also grow on cliffs and scree slopes.

Sow seeds at 20°C, expecting germination within 3 months without further temperature treatment.
Requires Light or Surface Sowing: These seeds need light to germinate and should not be covered with soil or only very lightly. They are often very small and sown directly on the surface of the growing medium.
Sow seeds immediately as their viability decreases rapidly, or they best germinate when fresh. If stored, seeds might need temperature cycling and patience to germinate.
keep all seed pots x 2 years
