Paeonia daurica subsp. mlokosewitschii, also known as the golden peony or Caucasian peony, is a flowering plant found in the Caucasus Mountains in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Dagestan. It grows on rocky slopes in forests and is sometimes called Molly the witch due to its difficult to pronounce species name. It was previously considered a separate species, but in 2002, it was reclassified as a subspecies of Paeonia daurica by Chinese botanist Hong Deyuan. This herbaceous perennial plant has large, single, lemon-yellow flowers and has been given the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit in the UK. It was first described by Aleksandr Lomakin in 1897 and named after Polish botanist Ludwik Młokosiewicz.
