Sedum villosum, also known as the hairy stonecrop or purple stonecrop, is a flowering plant that can live for two years or more. Its leaves are small and covered in hairs, with some varieties having hairless leaves. The plant produces pink flowers with five petals that are up to 5mm long. It is native to Greenland, Iceland, and parts of Europe, and has been found on islands in Canada. In Britain, it can be found as far south as mid-Yorkshire. Unlike other Sedum species, it thrives in damp environments.
