Plants are sold as potted specimens, often labeled “dwarf rosette” or “high‑altitude Kalanchoe,” and are used as liners for landscape designs that emphasize low‑water, drought‑tolerant vegetation. The species also appears in botanical‑garden collections for educational displays of succulent diversity.

Industrial and craft applications:
K. petitiana serves as a model organism in scientific research on Crassulacean Acid Metabolism (CAM), leaf anatomical adaptation, and Crassulaceae phylogenetics.
