Aesculus sylvatica, also known as the painted buckeye, is a shrub with five leaflets that can grow up to 6 inches long. Its yellow flowers sometimes have hints of red and it produces dry fruit. This species is typically found in forests and near streams. However, it is important to note that the shrub and its seeds are poisonous.
