Acer wangchii is a rare type of maple tree found in southwestern China. It is an evergreen tree that can grow up to 15 meters tall and has rough brown or purple bark. Its leaves are non-compound, thick and leathery, and lance-shaped with no lobes. The tree produces purple fruits, which is uncommon for the maple genus. This species is only found in Guangxi and Guizhou provinces in China.
