Acer oliverianum, also known as Oliver's maple or Oliver maple, is a deciduous tree species belonging to the maple family. It has a smooth jade green bark with white waxy stripes and can grow up to 20 meters in the wild, but typically reaches 5 to 8 meters when cultivated. Its branches are horizontal and it resembles the Japanese maple. The leaves are opposite and simple, with 5 lobes and a palmate shape. The flowers are white with purple sepals, 5 petals, and 8 stamens. The fruit is glabrous and ranges from 2.5 to 3 cm in length. This species is found in forests and valleys at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters and is native to Taiwan and certain provinces in China.
