Prunus obtusata, also known as Chinese bird cherry, is a tree species found in Tibet, southern China, and Taiwan. It grows at altitudes of 800-3600m and can reach heights of 6-20m. The tree produces white flowers in a raceme and has black fruit. Its young leaves are an important food source for the endangered Guizhou snub-nosed monkey.
