Crataegus pulcherrima is a type of Hawthorn plant found in the southeastern region of the United States. Despite being described in 1903, it has been largely overlooked until now. This plant and its related species, classified in Crataegus series Pulcherrimae, have potential as ornamental plants. It is a shrub or small tree that can reach up to 8 meters in height. Its leaves are simple and have serrated edges with 2-4 lobes. The flowers are white with a pink tint and bloom in mid to late spring. The fruit is a bright red pome, about 7-14 mm in size, and ripens in early autumn. It can be found in eastern Mississippi, Alabama, western Georgia, and parts of Tennessee, Florida, Louisiana, and South Carolina. This plant is typically found in mixed forests with sandy soil.
