Additionally, the fruits of the cluster fig are commonly eaten as a vegetable and are a favorite food of the common Indian macaque. The plant also serves as a food source for the caterpillars of the two-brand crow butterfly in northern Australia. In Hinduism, the tree is considered sacred and is associated with prosperity and vanquishing foes. In Buddhism, both the tree and its flower are referred to as the Audumbara and hold significance in the Lotus Sutra. The bark of the tree is also used in traditional medicine as a remedy for skin conditions. Overall, Ficus racemosa is a versatile and important plant with various cultural, medicinal, and ecological uses.
