Rhizophora stylosa, also known as the spotted mangrove, red mangrove, small stilted mangrove or stilt-root mangrove, is a tree belonging to the Rhizophoraceae family. Its name comes from the Latin word for "stylus form", which refers to the shape of its flowers. This tree can reach heights of up to 15 meters and has a trunk diameter of 25 centimeters. Its bark is dark brown to black and its fruits are ovoid or pear-shaped, measuring up to 4 cm in length. Rhizophora stylosa is native to various regions including Japan, China, Taiwan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malesia, Australia, and the Pacific. It thrives in sandy beaches and coral terraces along seashores.
