Hypericum hookerianum, also known as Hooker's St. John's Wort, is a perennial shrub native to eastern and southern Asia. It is named after William Jackson Hooker and can reach heights of 6-8 feet. The shrub has reddish-brown branches and large, greyish-green leaves. Its flowers are golden yellow and have five bundles of numerous stamens. It can be found in southern India, the Himalayas, and parts of China and California. The shrub is also known for its medicinal properties, as the extract from its leaves is a strong antioxidant and can improve motor activity.
