Verbascum virgatum, also known as twiggy mullein or wand mullein, is a biennial herb that can reach a height of 1 to 2 metres. Its flowers are yellow with a purple centre and measure 3 to 4 cm in diameter. This plant is native to Great Britain, Italy, France, the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands, and the Madeira Islands. It has also been naturalized in various regions around the world, including South Africa, North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Melanesia, Polynesia, and the Azores.
