Castilleja attenuata is a species of Indian paintbrush native to western North America from British Columbia to Baja California. It grows in grasslands and open woodland habitats and is an annual herb growing up to 50 centimeters tall. Its leaves are linear in shape and several centimeters long, and its inflorescence has three-lobed bracts with yellow or white tips. The flowers are fuzzy white dotted with purple and yellow.
