• In vitro systems have been established for Orthosiphon wulfenioides, including callus induction from leaf explants on Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (0.5–2.0 mg L−1) and benzyladenine (0.5–1.0 mg L−1), shoot regeneration from internodal segments on medium with benzyladenine (0.5–2.0 mg L−1) and indole-3-butyric acid (0.1–0.5 mg L−1), and ex vitro rooting with indole-3-butyric acid (1.0–2.0 mg L−1). These protocols have been used to study phenolic accumulation and metabolite profiling.
• LC–MS and HPLC analyses have identified and quantified phenolic compounds (e.g., rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, luteolin, apigenin, and their glycosides) in tissue-cultured materials, supporting the plant’s utility as a biological source in phytochemical research.
• The species is documented as an in vitro model for metabolic and developmental studies within Lamiaceae; however, there are no reported commercial, industrial, craft, or food/beverage applications for O. wulfenioides.
