Parkia biglobosa, also known as the African locust bean, is a deciduous tree found in various environments in Africa. It is primarily grown for its pods, which contain a sweet pulp and valuable seeds. These seeds are crushed and fermented for economic purposes. The tree is also used for medicinal and food purposes, with its bark, roots, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds all having different traditional uses.
