I’m thinking that I shouldn't avoid citations. I know at least some historical sources mention preparations like "Bark decoction." I recall Allen D. J. regarding "Medicinal preparations of the bark." However, I really need to ensure I have at least three citations for safety. One comes from Allen's work, but I must verify others, possibly from historical records. It seems essential to be precise with my citations to provide reliable information to the user.

The heartwood and sapwood are light-colored, low-density (approximately 0.3–0.45 g/cm³ at 12% moisture content), and generally straight- to interlocked-grained. The species is used as general carpentry and light-construction timber, for boxes and crates, furniture components, interior joinery, and sometimes for veneer or pulpwood in localized markets. Woodchips are utilized in short-rotation fiber production.

Properties relevant to use:
Low density and soft texture facilitate machining and turning, though interlocked grain can produce some surface fuzzing. Air-dry shrinkage is moderate to high, requiring careful drying to minimize checking and warping; joint and finishing performance are adequate for non-structural applications.
Sustainability and sourcing:
Widely planted in tropical agroforestry and shade-cocoa/coffee systems for rapid canopy and nitrogen fixation, enabling short cutting cycles and coppice regrowth. In some regions the tree is used as fuelwood and charcoal; appropriate cycle length and end-of-life use should be considered to balance sustainability.
