Opuntia nemoralis is a species of cactus native to the South-Central United States, found in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Missouri. It is found in sandy prairies, saline and sodic barrens, and rock outcrops. It was previously considered a synonym of Opuntia humifusa, but recent genetic analysis and morphological features have suggested that it should be recognized as its own species. It is closely related to Opuntia cespitosa, but can be distinguished by its smaller size, narrower cladodes, barbed spines, and yellow (or faintly pink) tepals.
