Amaranthus cannabinus, also known as salt marsh water hemp or salt marsh pigweed, is a herbaceous perennial found in the eastern United States. It can reach heights of 1 to 3 meters and is often confused with Amaranthus australis. This plant species is commonly found in salt marshes and is a significant part of the ecosystem in these areas.
