Senecio sylvaticus, also known as woodland ragwort, heath groundsel, or mountain common groundsel, is a flowering plant in the aster family. It is native to Eurasia and has been introduced to other regions, including western and eastern North America, where it can be found as a roadside weed. This annual herb grows best in cool, wet areas and can reach up to 80 centimeters in height. It has toothed, lobed leaves that are evenly distributed along the stem and are covered in short, curly hairs. The inflorescence is a wide, spreading array of many flower heads with yellow disc florets and tiny yellow ray florets.
