Senecio macroglossus, also known as Natal ivy, marguerite ivy, climbing senecio, or wax ivy, is a flowering plant native to southern Africa. It is not closely related to common ivy, despite its name and appearance. This evergreen climber can grow up to 3 meters tall and has waxy triangular leaves. It produces yellow, daisy-like flowers in the summer. It is often grown as a houseplant in temperate regions, with a minimum temperature requirement of 5-7 degrees Celsius. There are many cultivars of this plant, including 'Variegatus' which has cream-colored leaf margins and has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
