Gerbera ambigua is a species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family, native to Southern Africa and commonly known as Botterblom or Griekwateebossie. It was named after German botanist Traugott Gerber and was first described in 1844. This perennial herb has variable leaves and produces flower-heads with white and pink ray florets. It grows in grassland and savanna habitats and is able to survive dry, cold winters and annual fires. It is pollinated by various flying insects and serves as a host plant for butterfly larvae.
