Cassinia arcuata, also known as drooping cassinia, biddy bush, Chinese scrub, sifton bush, and Chinese shrub, is a species of flowering plant native to Australia. It is a shrub or small tree with linear leaves and brownish flowers arranged in pyramid-shaped panicles. In New South Wales, it is referred to as Cassinia sifton. This plant can become weedy in disturbed areas. It was first described in 1818 by Robert Brown. There has been confusion between C. arcuata and C. sifton, with the latter being listed as the only species occurring in New South Wales. However, both species are now recognized in the state. It is commonly found in Western Australia, South Australia, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, and Victoria, growing in mallee and woodland habitats. Drooping cassinia is easily cultivated, but does not tolerate salt winds and has a short lifespan.
