Achillea filipendulina, also known as yarrow, fernleaf yarrow, milfoil, or nosebleed, is a flowering plant native to central and southwestern Asia. It has fern-like foliage and large, yellow flowers that bloom in mid to late summer. This herbaceous perennial is commonly grown as an ornamental plant in temperate regions and is drought tolerant when established. While the species itself is not as popular, there are many improved cultivars that have gained recognition, such as 'Coronation Gold' and 'Moonshine'. It can be propagated by seed or root division in the spring.

Germination/Propagation Top
Suggest a correction or add new data!Sow seeds at 20°C, expecting germination within 3 months without further temperature treatment. |
Requires Light or Surface Sowing: These seeds need light to germinate and should not be covered with soil or only very lightly. They are often very small and sown directly on the surface of the growing medium. |
