Pterostylis xerophila, also known as the desert greenhood, is a plant in the orchid family endemic to South Australia. It has a large rosette of leaves and produces up to eight translucent white, green, and reddish-brown flowers with an insect-like labellum. This terrestrial herb is deciduous and has an underground tuber. It typically grows in granite or quartzite rock outcrops in areas with low rainfall. The species is classified as vulnerable and faces threats such as grazing by feral animals, weed invasion, and inappropriate fire regimes. It was first described in 1986 and its specific epithet, xerophila, means "dry-loving" in Greek.
