Pterostylis pearsonii is a unique plant belonging to the orchid family Orchidaceae and is found only in the state of Queensland. It was officially identified and named by David Jones in 2010, under the name Oligochaetochilus pearsonii, based on a specimen grown in the Australian National Botanic Gardens. However, in the same year, Jasmine Janes and Marco Duretto changed its name to Pterostylis pearsonii. This plant is known for its tuber, which was collected near Eungella Dam.
