Pterostylis insectifera, also known as the insect-lipped rufous greenhood or leaden rustyhood, is a plant in the orchid family that is native to the south-west region of Western Australia. It is a perennial herb with a rosette of leaves and can have up to eight or more flowers. The flowers have long, stiff lateral sepals and a protruding, insect-like labellum. This plant was first described in 1989 and its name comes from the Latin word for "insect bearing" due to its unique labellum. It grows in woodland and shrubland areas and is not considered threatened by the Western Australian government.
