Pterostylis despectans, also known as the lowly rustyhood, is a plant in the orchid family that is native to south-eastern Australia. It has a rosette of leaves at its base and up to six insect-like flowers on long stalks. The plant is classified as endangered in multiple Australian states due to threats such as habitat loss and low reproduction rates. It was first described in 1950 and has a restricted distribution in New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.
