Pterostylis cycnocephala, also known as the swan greenhood, is a perennial plant in the orchid family that is native to south-eastern Australia. It has a rosette of dark green leaves and can produce up to 24 green flowers with a unique beak-like appendage on the labellum. This plant is commonly found growing with grasses and is widespread from Queensland to Tasmania. It was first described in 1936 and its name is derived from the Greek words for "swan" and "head", referring to the shape of its labellum appendage. The swan greenhood is most commonly seen in bloom from August to December and can be found in various habitats, including grassy areas.
